Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The ACLAS Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors

• Authors must submit original work that has not been published elsewhere and is not under review by another journal.
• Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is required; plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
• Fabrication or falsification of data, and redundant or duplicate publication, constitute misconduct.
• All listed authors must have made a significant contribution and approved the final manuscript.
• Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest and any use of generative AI tools.

Editors

• Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, without regard to race, gender, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
• Editors and editorial staff will not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and the publisher.
• Editors will act on suspected misconduct following COPE flowcharts, including issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when needed.

Reviewers

• Peer review assists editors in making decisions and helps authors improve their work.
• Reviewers who feel unqualified to evaluate a manuscript must notify the editor and excuse themselves.
• Reviewers must keep manuscripts confidential, avoid personal criticism, and declare any conflict of interest.

Corrections and retractions

When errors are found, the journal will publish clear corrections. Articles found to be in breach of publication ethics will be retracted, and the retraction will be clearly marked and linked to the original record.
