How to Submit: A Step-by-Step Guide
This guide walks you through publishing your paper in the ACLAS Journal, step by step. The whole process is free of charge.
Step 1 - Create your account
Click Register in the top-right corner of this site. Fill in your name, email, and a password. Choose the Author role when asked. Your account is ready immediately - no email confirmation is needed.
Step 2 - Log in and start a submission
Log in, then click the blue Make a Submission button (on the homepage or in the right sidebar). If you cannot see the button, make sure you are logged in.
Step 3 - Prepare your manuscript
- Write in English, using APA 7th edition style for citations and references.
- Save your paper as Microsoft Word (.docx) or PDF.
- Length: 4,000-8,000 words for research articles (other types differ - see the full author guidelines).
- Include an abstract (150-250 words), 4-6 keywords, and numbered figures and tables.
Step 4 - Complete the 5-step submission wizard
- Start - choose your article type and section.
- Upload - upload your manuscript file.
- Enter metadata - title, abstract, keywords.
- Confirmation - add all co-authors. Each author should link an ORCID iD (you will be guided to sign in to ORCID; it takes one minute).
- Review and submit - check everything and click Finish Submission.
Step 5 - What happens next
- An editor screens your paper within about 2 weeks.
- Suitable papers go to double-anonymous peer review (4-8 weeks).
- You receive a decision: accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject.
- Once accepted and published, your article gets a DOI and is archived with Zenodo - free, forever.
